Core Psychology Services provide a full therapy service to independent schools and children's homes for young people.

Dr Peter Cliff (Counselling Psychologist) set up Core Psychology services in 2013 and has been providing outstanding clinical services.

We provide a warm, safe environment for children and adolescents. We have extensive experience working in a variety of children settings ranging from secure to open settings. The first step is to carry out a highly specialised assessment and we use a variety of methods to engage children and adolescents.

Play therapy is used in different forms depending on the age of the young person. Core Psychology has practitioners that have been trained in ADOS-2 which means that Autism assessments can be carried out at the independent schools.

All therapists are registered with professional governing bodies to ensure they deliver the highest standard in clinical practice.

Dr Peter Cliff

Director

Dr Cliff has worked in public and private sectors and independent schools for over 10 years. He trained in EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitisation & Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, ADOS-2 Assessments and PGCE.

Kieren Douglas

Clinical Business Manager

Kieren has a BSc Hons in Sport and Wellbeing, completed training in Management, Counselling Skills, and Safeguarding.
He travels across the UK to meet with the different therapy teams and senior leadership in school and residential care homes.

Jennifer Woodhead

Quality Assurance Manager

Jennifer's LLB Hons in law and experience within the public sector brings amazing qualities to the Core Psychology team.
Jennifer has an excellent approach to quality and detail. She also brings her caring person centred approach to the team.
